Strawberry, Orange and Mango Fruit Puree Recipe
As parents, we’re always thinking of new ways to get some extra fruit and vegetables into our kids. While they are usually happy to grab an apple or banana to pop into their lunch boxes, it is good to vary the types of fruit we eat to ensure we get the full range of nutritional benefits.
That’s why I’m so pleased I found this strawberry, orange and mango puree recipe! My kids literally fought over who got the most, and I had to intervene to ensure everyone received the same amount of pouches for their lunchboxes!
This got me thinking – how long would it take for my kids to eat this fruit if it were served whole or chopped? Would they even eat it? Knowing my kids, probably not! But this puree was gone in minutes. MINUTES!
And all it contained was pure, raw fruit. Nothing else!
Just an orange, a mango, and a punnet of strawberries!
Hull the strawberries and pop them into a food processor or blender, then peel and chop the orange, and cut the flesh off the mango (discarding the skin) and add those too. Blitz until pureed and you’re done. That’s all there is to it!
Pure fruit, pureed as fine or as chunky as you like. And it’s delicious!!
Pour it into cups or our 140ml top opening reusable pouches, however you enjoy it, this puree is super healthy and full of essential vitamins and minerals.
This puree will keep for up to four days in the fridge or a few weeks in the freezer. Why not make a couple of batches and freeze for lunchbox treats!
We hope you enjoy this puree as much as we did!
