Mixed Berry And Orange Smoothie Recipe

What I love best about our range of top opening reusable pouches is the way I can make up a batch of smoothies to see me from breakfast through to afternoon tea by simply popping them into my bag and putting them in the fridge at work. I take one out whenever I feel like a sugar hit but want to avoid the empty calories of packaged snack foods or soft drink.

This mixed berry and orange smoothie recipe makes enough for a big glass of creamy fruity goodness with breakfast and then three 140ml pouches to snack on throughout the day, or two standard serves in total.

This smoothie is very easy to make using just five ingredients. You can change the ingredients too, depending on what you would prefer to use.

Greek yoghurt, almond milk, frozen mixed berries, oranges and maple syrup is all you need to make this smoothie, and you can switch around some ingredients to suit what you have at home. For example, substitute whatever milk you prefer to use for the almond milk, or use a tub of flavoured yoghurt instead of the Greek variety. No maple syrup? Try honey instead!

Then it’s just a matter of putting everything into a blender and blitzing until smooth. Simple!

Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup Greek yoghurt
2/3 cup frozen mixed berries
2 oranges, peeled, segmented and seeded
2 tbsp maple syrup

Method:

Combine the almond milk, yoghurt, frozen berries, oranges and maple syrup in the blender. Blitz until smooth and serve immediately or pour into 140ml pouches for consumption throughout the day.
