Fresh Summer Watermelon Strawberry Slushies
What could be better than these cool and refreshing summery watermelon strawberry slushies?
Well, I mean, adding some vodka or gin to the mixture would arguably make them better, I guess. But I’ll leave that decision up to you!
These fabulously delicious fresh summer slushies are sweet, fruity and healthy, containing only fruit and ice. You can whip them up in just a couple of minutes, and this recipe makes about one litre of slushie mix – enough for the whole family (if you aren’t using vodka or gin, of course!).
Here is what you’ll need to make them:
Half a kilo of seedless watermelon, rind removed and chopped into chunks, two cups of frozen strawberries (just eyeball it, no need to get the measuring cups out), two cups of ice cubes, and two tablespoons of lime juice — fresh or bottled is fine.
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Pour into serving glasses and enjoy!
Enjoy them quickly though, because they melt pretty fast on a hot day!
500g seedless watermelon, rind cut off and chopped into chunks
2 cups of frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons of lime juice (fresh or bottled is fine)
2 cups of ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses and enjoy immediately!
I hope you enjoy them as much as my family did!
